Mahmoud Akbari was born in Esfahan. He started to learn persian classical singing (AVAZ) with Master "Ali Asghgar Shahzeydi" in 1980.

In addition Mahmoud Akbari has benefited from advices of many other experienced iranian music Masters and has applied those guidelines in his singing style.

Today he is teaching "Persian classical Singing (AVAZ)" in many Cities of Germany.
